Asper snaps up retail units in seven-figure deal
Stourbridge-based real estate firm Asper Property Group has completed the purchase of a mixed-use commercial building in Wombourne, in a deal in excess of £1m.
The firm says it’s acquisition of Central Buildings, a prominent mixed-use property on Wombourne High Street, near Wolverhampton, marks the latest addition to its growing Midlands portfolio.
The property is made up of four retail units, an office block, commercial units and outhouses, car parking, and a two-bedroom apartment — accommodating a total of 14 tenants and generating an annual rental income of approximately £120,000.
The group plans to undertake a comprehensive programme of refurbishment and regeneration works in collaboration with existing tenants to enhance the site’s long-term appeal and sustainability.
“Central Buildings is a prime location on Wombourne High Street and had been owned by the same family for 75 years. We’re excited to build on its strong legacy and work closely with tenants to revitalise this important part of the village centre,” said Charlie London, managing director of Asper Property Group.
This acquisition adds to Asper Property Group’s expanding portfolio of Midlands investments, including Quantum Works in Stourbridge, Earlswood Business Park, and The Row, a landmark roadside development in Droitwich.
Cherry Elliott of law firm Talbots acted for Asper Property Group while the seller was advised by Emma Chater of mfg Solicitors.
