Benniman kicks off duo of Brum industrial schemes
Bromsgrove construction firm Benniman says it’s ready to start work on two Birmingham sites, set to add over 400,000 sq ft of industrial and logistics space to the city.
The company has started work at the 32,000 sq ft Garretts Green Trade Park in Birmingham on behalf of Coltham Developments, a logistics scheme that will deliver six high-quality industrial and warehouse trade units, ranging from 4,000 to 13,292 sq ft, part of a growing portfolio of developments between the two firms.
The contractor is also building out three further schemes in Reading, Redditch, and Slough for Greenlight Logistics, Coltham’s joint venture with Delancey, which together total more than 280,000 sq ft.
Last week, Benniman also confirmed it had been appointed by developer Indurent to build out more than 380,000 sq ft of industrial and logistics space at the former MG Rover plant in Longbridge.
Benniman will construct 13 new industrial and logistics buildings, ranging in size from 11,791 sq ft to 114,255 sq ft, suitable for a range of uses including advanced manufacturing, logistics and distribution.
Benniman’s director, Paul Barfoot, commented: “We’re delighted to be delivering the final phase of Indurent Park Longbridge West. Having built a strong working relationship with Indurent across multiple developments, we’re looking forward to delivering another high-quality scheme that will serve the region for years to come.”
