Black Cat expands territory into Nottingham for regional push

Building consultancy Black Cat has opened a Nottingham office as the firm strengthens its presence in the Midlands.

The firm, which provides a range of services including building surveying, project management, and development advisory support, is based at Wellington Circus in the city centre.

Leading the Nottingham team is Jess Hand, Black Cat’s head of rating, who will work alongside building surveyors Sam Sims, and Robert Foley.

The team will provide practical, commercially focused advice to occupiers, landlords, developers, investors and public-sector organisations across the region.

The new office builds on the firm’s established Birmingham operation and follows the recent launch of its Leeds office, which has expanded the consultancy’s reach across Yorkshire and the North.

“Nottingham is a natural next step for Black Cat as we continue to grow across the Midlands,” said Ben Golby, founder and director at Black Cat.

“Birmingham has given us a strong foundation in the region, and establishing a presence in Nottingham allows us to get closer to clients across the East Midlands while continuing to provide the depth of expertise and director-level involvement that Black Cat is known for.

“Alongside our expansion into Leeds, this demonstrates our commitment to building strong local teams while maintaining the reach and capability of a national consultancy. We are looking forward to becoming part of Nottingham’s business community and supporting clients across the region.”
