Foundry snaps up £1.8m Wednesbury industrial estate
Newhall Estates, part of the Rubery Owen group, has sold off it’s five-acre Moxley Industrial Estate in Wednesbury to tenants Alucast.
The metal casting firm says the purchase will protect the future of the three units it currently operates from at the site, with plans to boost sustainability measures at the site, the firm’s base for more than 60 years.
Kingfisher Enamelling Company and BES Group Testing are also tenants on the estate.
“The opportunity arose to purchase the site, which means we now have full control of our future. Black Country is and always will be our home and, by securing ownership, it means we have the opportunity to ringfence our expansion ambitions,” said Tony Sartorius, chairman of Alucast.
“The Moxley Industrial Estate has been our base for as long as I’ve been with the company and has given us a great location to expand our high-pressure diecasting operations and our machine shops, which now boast 25 CNCs.
“There are plans in place to look at how we can make the buildings greener, helping boost sustainability and reducing energy costs at the same time for our business and our tenants.”
The agents for the transaction were Dixons, and the site is managed by Bulleys.
