Muse backs future of Midlands with extended Place partnership

Muse has extended its collaboration with Place Midlands into 2027, as the regional property news organisation marks its first anniversary.

Maggie Grogan, Midlands director at Muse, said: “A thriving regeneration and development ecosystem relies on the profile, connections and constructive challenge Place Midlands delivers. In its first year, the team has already demonstrated the value of its high-quality, sector-led regional journalism.

“That is why Muse has extended our partnership for another year, supporting Place Midlands as it expands its offer. The Midlands remains central to our ambitions and, with significant opportunities on the horizon, now is the time to ensure the region is at the heart of the national growth conversation.”

Muse has a significant pipeline of regeneration projects across the Midlands, including the Smithgate scheme in Wolverhampton, the 3000-home Arden Cross development near Birmingham Airport, and the Northampton Greyfriars regeneration project.

Place Midlands launched in 2025 with the backing of Muse and the West Midlands Growth Company, and has since established itself as the go-to source for news, analysis and insight covering the region’s property and regeneration sectors.

The platform has also launched a programme of events, with further activity planned for 2027, alongside continued coverage of major development, investment and regeneration projects across the region. Place Media Group also operates Place North West, Place North East, and Place Yorkshire.

Group managing partner and head of commercial, Dino Moutsopoulos, said the extension was a “significant vote of confidence” in the platform and its role within the regional property sector.

“We launched one year ago with the support of Muse and the West Midlands Growth Company. I’m proud and genuinely very pleased that the year has gone so well that Muse have decided to back Place Midlands for another 12 months,” he said.

“We have grown rapidly from a standing start to becoming the voice of the Midlands property market.

“We have delivered quality events and plan to do more in 2027. Working closely with Maggie Grogan and her team we will continue to back the region and the wider opportunities that exist.

“We urge everyone involved in property across the East and West Midlands to back themselves, and use us to create the profile and showcase the expertise that exists in the region.”
