Muse builds on Midlands momentum as pipeline grows to £6.3bn
Regeneration specialist Muse says it’s at a point of ‘real opportunity’ after parent group Morgan Sindall announced its results to the London Stock Exchange this morning.
The group saw revenues increase by 10% year-on-year to over £5bn, while adjusted operating profit rose 39% to £232.6m.
Meanwhile Muse says it now has around 22,000 homes in its development pipeline, alongside retail, leisure, logistics, workspaces and public spaces, with pipeline value including preferred bidder positions expanding to £6.3bn, up 29% from £4.9bn in 2024.
The firm is currently on-site with ECF partners at the 1,100-home Smithgate redevelopment in Wolverhampton, and saw planning approval granted for the Holbeche Place redevelopment of Solihull last month.
At the end of the year, seven major projects were on site with a total of £205 million Gross Development Value (GDV). This is expected to grow in 2026, with a further 17 coming to site with a GDV of £448 million, which includes a total of 2,598 new homes.
The last financial year saw a total of eight opportunities turn into signed development agreements, according to managing director at Muse – Midlands, Maggie Grogan.
“The last 12 months has seen us continue to grow our significant development pipeline. Today, we have circa 22,000 homes across 24 communities up and down the country, including many of these in the Midlands, alongside a wide range of retail, leisure, logistics, workspaces and public spaces to be created,” she said.
“To be in this position is by no coincidence. It is the result of the significant work which has been undertaken by our exceptional teams in partnership with our national and local partners.
“We are excited to be at a point of real opportunity to drive forward positive, meaningful, growth. We are looking forward to building on this national momentum by creating high-quality, sustainable, places where people can live, work and thrive in the Midlands.”
