Sushi chain signs for first Birmingham venue
Panko has chosen Brindleyplace for its first Birmingham restaurant as the independent Japanese food chain continues an expansion across the UK.
The operator has signed a 10-year lease on just under 1,400 sq ft of ground floor space at Foundry, 6 Brindleyplace, where it will serve a menu including sushi, katsu, teriyaki and ramen.
The Birmingham opening is scheduled for later this year and follows recent growth for the business, which already operates restaurants in Colne, Stoke, Bury and Macclesfield. New sites in Crosby are due to open this month, with a Newcastle-under-Lyme restaurant planned for January 2027.

The letting adds another occupier to Brindleyplace’s food and beverage line-up, which now comprises 26 operators, as the estate continues to strengthen its leisure offer alongside its commercial space.
