Persimmon strengthens land team with senior hire

Emily Berville Charlesworth has been promoted to land director at Persimmon Homes Central, following 12 months in the role of head of land.

Charlesworth will lead on land acquisition for Persimmon Homes and it’s Charles Church housebuilding business in key strategic locations throughout the Midlands, the firm says.

She joined Persimmon Homes in 2018 as a graduate planner and has progressed rapidly through the business, securing six promotions in as many years. Her roles have included assistant planner, planner, senior planner, land and planning manager and head of land, before stepping up to land director this month.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to be taking up the post of land director,” she said.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed the move to land acquisition and I’m excited to play my part in growing the business. I have received some excellent support from our Regional Managing Director in developing into the role and I welcome the trust he has put in me, to take on this new challenge.”
