Strategic Land Group completes sale of 10-acre resi site
Newett Homes has snapped up the 74-home residential development site in Kirton in Lindsey, Lincolnshire, after planning permission was secured for the scheme on appeal.
The site now has detailed consent for a residential scheme, secured by SLG on the back of two successful appeals, both made after refusals by the local authority which ran contrary to officer recommendation.
The value of the deal is undisclosed.
SLG says it worked closely with North Lincolnshire Council to bring the site forward, with the scheme evolving through consultation with local residents, including revisions to footpath connections to nearby open spaces.
The new development will help to meet local housing demand in a sustainable and well-connected location, according to managing director, Paul Smith.
“We’re pleased have been able to play a role in bringing forward much-needed new homes in Kirton in Lindsey,” he said.
“This is a well-located site on the edge of an established community and will no doubt prove a desirable place to live for buyers seeking high-quality homes with access to local amenities and green space.
“The sale underlines SLG’s continued success in identifying and delivering residential development opportunities across the UK.”
Nationally, the land promoter is actively promoting sites with the potential to deliver almost 4,000 homes with a combined GDV of circa £1.2bn.
