McLaren signs-off on 637-bed Coventry PBSA
The second and final phase of Longwood Place has reached completion near the University of Warwick, bringing forward more than 1,200 student beds as part of a major regeneration project.
Delivered by McLaren Construction for Topland Vintage Group and McLaren Property on behalf of iQ Student Accommodation, nine residential blocks have now been built across a purpose-built campus, with 637 beds added as part of the latest phase.
The development has transformed a previously underused business park, replacing outdated office buildings and a former multi-storey car park with nine new residential blocks delivered across two phases.
The project involved the demolition of Avon House, Swift House and associated structures to make way for the new accommodation, helping to strengthen the University of Warwick’s student housing provision.
Completion on Longwood Place marks the latest student accommodation scheme delivered by McLaren Construction Midlands & North, taking its total delivery across projects in Coventry, Nottingham and Manchester to 2,870.
