VINCI Energies takes HQ space
Part of the global construction, infrastructure and energy giant, the firm’s UK and Ireland business has signed for 6,700 sq ft at 1 Trinity Park, close to Birmingham Airport.
Billed as a global leader in energy, ICT, mechanical, electrical and automation services, VINCI Energies UK & RoI will use the space as the new home for its head office, including the head office of its Actemium UK brand.
The other two business units within the VINCI Energies stable are infrastructure brand Omexom and ICT brand Axians.
VINCI has taken 6,762 sq ft on part of the recently refurbished third floor of the building, with team members moving in this month.
Existing occupiers at 1 Trinity Park include business consultancy LRQA and international infrastructure firm Balfour Beatty.
JLL and Avison Young are agents on the building.
Scott Van Der Vord, chief executive of VINCI Energies UK & RoI, said: “As we continue to expand across the UK and Ireland, our new head office at Trinity Park gives us the right foundation – a greener, smarter, more connected environment that supports our growth ambitions, foster innovation, and continue creating an environment where our teams can thrive.”
Built in 1997, the asset is undergoing a phased refurbishment programme, which, in addition to the third floor, has already delivered 13,360 sq ft of modernised office space on the second floor, now ready for immediate occupation.
Recent work has created a new entrance, an upgraded new reception and new end-of-trip shower and storage facilities. Behind the scenes, the power supply has also been beefed up to enable EV charging.
The intention is to refurbish further office space in the building later this year, targeting occupiers seeking from between 6,700 sq ft to 26,639 sq ft.
Jonathan Carmalt, director of national office agency at JLL, said: “1 Trinity Park enjoys an enviable strategic location, and the considerable investment the landlord has committed to refurbishing the building to the highest standards allows businesses such as VINCI Energies UK & ROI and its brand Actemium to benefit from the best modern working environment, right next to what is one of the UK’s most significant transport hubs, with further regeneration in the area ongoing.”
