JLL strengthens Midlands industrial and logistics team

Global real estate firm JLL has expanded its Midlands industrial and logistics team with a senior promotion and two new appointments in Birmingham.

Will Arnold has been promoted to head of JLL’s Midlands industrial and logistics team, while Josh Brown and Tom Benson have joined the business as senior surveyor and surveyor respectively.

Arnold previously served as a director within the business, having joined JLL at the start of last year following more than a decade at Cushman & Wakefield, where he worked in the national industrial and logistics agency team.

In his new role, he will lead JLL’s industrial and logistics leasing business across the Midlands, working alongside developers, investment funds and the firm’s tenant representation team to deliver a joined-up service for clients.

Will Arnold, head of Midlands industrial & logistics at JLL, said: “It’s fantastic to have been given the opportunity to step up and take on leadership of our regional industrial and logistics business. This sector is a crucial element of the UK economy, and with more than 50% of national take up located in the Midlands so far this year, we are well placed to benefit from continued growth.

“Despite wider global uncertainty, the levels of take up as we approach H2 suggest we will have another strong year. With supply in the Midlands ticking down, we will continue to see rents for good buildings in strong locations increasing.

“That’s one of the reasons we wanted to expand our team with these appointments. Josh and Tom have joined the business at an exciting time and will support our work with both developers and occupiers as we help clients maximise value in the core Midlands market.”

Brown joins the business after two years at M1 Agency, where he worked as a surveyor, while Benson joins from Carter Jonas, where he spent more than two years as a graduate surveyor.

Rachel Leung, head of Midlands at JLL, added: “The natural reach and transport advantages the Midlands has means that industrial and logistics has always been one of our key strengths as a region. And after a strong 2025 where we saw record rents, the current levels of interest we’re seeing suggest this year will be another positive one for the sector.

“This investment in our team means we’ll be well equipped to support our clients in this space. Over the last year Will has already established himself as a critical member of our Birmingham team and this promotion reflects that, while I’m sure Josh and Tom will be a perfect fit as we continue to grow our regional offering.”
