Hortons snaps up Walsall warehouse

Birmingham-based Hortons has increased its ownership at Anchor Brook Industrial Estate in Aldridge with an undisclosed deal for a 31,000 sq ft industrial unit.

The building – which is being sold by a private individual investor – is currently occupied by Farcroft Restorations, which has a lease until 2033.

The deal expands Horton’s ownership at the estate, around three miles from Walsall, which spans more than two decades. The firm’s previous developments at Anchor Brook include a purpose built 35,000 sq ft facility for Brennan Industries, and a Greggs outlet.

Steve Tommy, head of property at Hortons said:“We have had a longstanding interest in Anchor Brook and know the estate and the local industrial market extremely well. This acquisition was a natural fit, adding further scale to our existing holding in an established industrial location.

“The property is well located and occupied by an established local business. We look forward to working with Farcroft Restorations.”

Hortons was represented by Ross Cuthbert of Skylark Real Estate, with Ryan Meader of Cortex Partners acting on behalf of the vendor.
