West Midlands will take £20bn pipeline to MIPIM ’27

The West Midlands is returning to MIPIM 2027 with a dedicated Birmingham and the West Midlands Pavilion.

The region will showcase an investment pipeline of over £20bn in residential, mixed-use, and commercial real estate opportunities, including some of Europe’s largest regeneration projects.

Building on the past three years of focused investor engagement at MIPIM, the West Midlands Growth Company has worked with public- and private-sector partners to commit to a refreshed Birmingham and the West Midlands presence for 2027.

The region is maintaining momentum following the announcement of the £3.8bn West Midlands Futures Fund, which, alongside the Birmingham East Mayoral Development Corporation, will be a key focus for the market ahead of MIPIM 2027.

During MIPIM 2027, the region will delve into the latest funding and development support available through the West Midlands Investment Partnership. Commercial partners will have the opportunity to engage with senior public leaders to explore how local authorities and the West Midlands Combined Authority will help them accelerate project delivery in the UK’s largest regional economy.

Commercial sponsorship opportunities for interested parties will be available from August onwards, with a focus on bringing together the region’s most active investors, developers and advisory who can contribute to the West Midlands story on the global stage.

Neil Rami, chief executive of the West Midlands Growth Company, said: ‘‘While the global investment market continues to face political and economic instability, the West Midlands is delivering bold devolution policies and powers, such as the Birmingham East Mayoral Development Corporation, to provide stability and certainty to global investors.

‘‘With our track record in housing delivery, one of Europe’s youngest demographics, and the UK’s largest regional economy, the region is at the forefront of Britain’s growth agenda.

“Our MIPIM 2027 mission is clear: if you want to invest in a fast-scaling region that prioritises delivery, growth, and strong, long-term public-private partnerships to close viability gaps and de-risk your project actively, the West Midlands is your place.”

WMGC has also confirmed it will once again lead a dedicated pavilion-led, West Midlands presence at UKREiiF 2027.

This marks the fourth time the West Midlands has come together to outline its momentum and opportunity at the UK’s largest real estate event.
