Final phase of 628-home Enclave Birmingham signed off
Outpost has completed its 27-storey Built-to-Rent development on Southside’s Lower Essex Street, the London-based firm’s first development outside the capital.
Enclave: Birmingham City, is a 557,000 sq ft residential-led, mixed-use development, designed by Costorphine and Wright and includes 306 one-bedroom, 295 two-bedroom and 27 three-bedroom apartments for rent.
A further 25,000 sq ft of commercial and amenity space is included across three separate buildings of 27, 12 and eight storeys respectively.
Planning permission for the 628-home scheme was granted by Birmingham City Council in December 2022.
The development has been delivered through Outpost Management’s joint venture with BlackRock Real Estate, in partnership with The Galliard Apsley Partnership, a joint venture between Galliard Homes and Apsley House Capital.
Enclave topped out in June 2025, welcoming its first residents shortly afterwards. Highlights of the development include a panoramic bar lounge on the 27th floor, alongside a library and private dining areas – with the scheme boasting more than 20 amenity spaces for residents.
“Enclave: Birmingham City brings together beautifully designed apartments, extensive amenity spaces and technology-led services to make renting more effortless, connected and enjoyable,” said Troy Tomasik, Outpost Management founder and chief executive.
“The completion of the final phase is an important milestone for the Enclave platform and reflects our commitment to creating high-quality homes that support the way modern renters want to live .”
