Nottingham’s Clegg Food Projects names commercial director
Specialist construction firm Clegg Food Projects has announced the appointment of Stephen Roberts as its new commercial director.
Roberts joins the Nottingham-based firm, which develops food manufacturing and lab facilities, after 15 years with Lindum Group where he held a similar senior commercial role.
Having started his new role this month, Roberts will be responsible for leading the company’s commercial function, supporting its strategic growth ambitions and helping to ensure the continued delivery of high-quality projects and service for clients.
“I’m excited to be joining Clegg Food Projects at such an important time for the business,” he said.
“The company has an excellent reputation within the food and beverage sector, and I’m looking forward to working with the team to build on that success, support our clients and contribute to the company’s future growth.”
The appointment forms part of a planned leadership succession ahead of the retirement of commercial director Ian King, who will step down in early 2027 after more than 25 years in the business.
Matthew Carr, managing director added: “As we continue to grow, Stephen will play a key role in delivering our long-term ambitions.
“He will help strengthen our relationships with prestigious brands including Greggs, Samworth Brothers and Greene King, while ensuring a seamless transition as Ian prepares for his well-deserved retirement.”
