Administrators at a purpose-built student apartment block in Birmingham say day-to-day operations will not be affected, having being called in shortly after Christmas.

Raj Mittal and Arvindar Singh of FRP Advisory were appointed as joint administrators of Apache Six Ltd and Five Oaks Green Holdings Limited on 29 December 2025.

The two companies are responsible for running 64-apartment Beechenhurst House on Serpentine Road in Selly Oak, around half a mile from the main University of Birmingham campus.

The business trades under the Amare Students brand, having gained permission to convert and extend the former care home into student accommodation in 2016.

A total of six staff were employed by the business, according to the most recent set of accounts lodged with Companies House in 2023.

A statement from administrators FRP Advisory said services at the building would continue to operate “without interruption” for both tenants and staff.

“Apache Six Ltd, trading as Amare Students, serves as the operating company for Beechenhurst House, while Five Oaks Green Holdings Limited acts as the holding company,” said a spokesperson.

“The appointment has no impact on the day‑to‑day operations of the property, which continues to function as normal. Tenants and on‑site staff remain unaffected, and all services operate without interruption.”
