Seddon kicks off warm homes investment programme
Construction firm Seddon has begun work on a series of long-term contracts to upgrade hundreds of houses across the Midlands.
The programmes include energy efficiency improvements to more than 300 properties under the government’s Warm Homes Wave 3 scheme, delivered in partnership with Warwick District Council and South Yorkshire Housing Association. Works aim to bring homes up to a minimum EPC C rating while reducing energy bills for residents.
In Warwick and Leamington Spa, 176 homes will benefit from upgrades including solar PV, loft insulation and ventilation improvements over three years.
Seddon has also launched a 250-home window and door replacement programme with Your Housing Group.
Mark Walker, Managing Director at Seddon Housing Partnerships, said: “This investment will bring huge benefits to hundreds of families, and we are looking forward to working with the communities to ensure works are delivered in the right way.
“It is a strong start to the year for Seddon and reflects the confidence our new and existing clients place in us to deliver essential investment in their homes.
“Across large-scale retrofit programmes, building safety and planned maintenance works, our focus is on improving the quality and sustainability of existing homes while minimising disruption for residents.
“By supporting clients from the earliest stages of programme development through to delivery on site, we’re able to help bring forward schemes that reduce energy costs, improve comfort and ensure homes remain safe, compliant and fit for the future.”
