Vistry snaps up land for Burton residential scheme

Housing developer Vistry will build a hundred homes at Branston Locks, after completing an undisclosed land deal with Places for People.

A planning announcement and details of Vistry’s onward partner deal is expected later this year.

The development is set to form part of the Burton-upon-Trent’s wider urban extension, which has outline consent for up to 2,500 homes alongside around one million sq ft of commercial and employment space, a local centre, schools, and healthcare facilities.

Branston Locks is being delivered in phases by multiple housebuilders, with hundreds of homes now occupied and both primary and secondary schools open.
