Plans in for first phase of 1,270-home Tamworth scheme

Persimmon Homes has submitted proposals for 432 homes off Robey’s Lane, set to form the first phase of the wider Alvecote Park development.

The scheme forms part of an urban extension to the east of Tamworth, and will include a mixture of 432 one- to five-bedroom homes according to the housebuilder.

The application has not yet been validated on Tamworth council’s planning portal system.

“We are delighted to have submitted plans for the first phase of development at Alvecote Park, which will deliver much-needed new homes for local people alongside new green spaces and community facilities,” said Paul Coles, operations director for Persimmon Homes Central.

“The scheme has been carefully designed to integrate with the surrounding area, with a strong focus on creating high-quality, well-connected homes alongside significant investment in the local community.

“We look forward to progressing these plans and contributing to the creation of a thriving new neighbourhood at Alvecote Park.”

  • The plans will be considered by Tamworth Borough Council. A planning portal reference will be added to this story when it becomes available.
