Architect snaps up business park premises
Shrewsbury based architectural practice, Arrol Green, have moved into new premises at the town’s Abbey Lawn office park in Shrewsbury – after their historic former town centre offices went up for sale.
The firm quit their former church hall base in St Mary’s last year, their home for four decades, before plans were approved to convert the building into three town houses by Shropshire Council.
The building hit the market for offers around £800,000 in December – shortly after the practice signed a lease for new offices at Canon Court West, owned and managed by developer Morris Properties.
Robert Green from Arrol Green Design Studio said the move to Abbey Lawn marked an important new chapter for the practice, which it said would provide a high-quality base to support its continued growth.
“This new office provides an excellent environment for our team and a strong base from which we can continue to deliver our specialist conservation and design services across the region,” he added.
The letting was secured with the assistance of property agents, Towler Shaw Roberts.
Neil Anderson, Head of Estates at Morris Property, said: “It is a pleasure to welcome Arrol Green Design Studio to Canon Court West and the Abbey Lawn community.
“Our team pride itself on maintaining close, long-standing relationships with all our occupiers, and we look forward to supporting Arrol Green Design Studio in their new home.”
