Birmingham waste site snapped up for £3.2m

A Kings Norton recycling centre has been acquired by Jedi Temple Group.

The Singapore-owned metals recycling business purchased the 2.35-acre Ebury Road site from former owners, the Fox family, a deal brokered by property agency Bromwich Hardy.

The site, which sits around five miles south of Birmingham city centre, already benefits from established waste transfer consents, secure gated access and extensive storage space, making it an attractive operational base for the expanding business, agents say.

Mittal Vora, chief financial officer at Jedi Temple Group, said the acquisition marks the beginning of a broader expansion strategy for the firm, with plans to add more recycling yards over time.

Meanwhile, Ed Bunbury, partner at Bromwich Hardy, said the transaction reflected continued resilience in the industrial property market despite wider economic uncertainty.

“This sale once again shows that robust confidence in the industrial property market continues to emerge despite international volatilities, ” he said.

“Jedi Temple Group is a metals recycling business owned by a Singapore-based group and they were keen to make use of this established site, which already has all the necessary consents.”

Bower Cotton Hamilton provided legal advice for the purchaser, while Talbots Law acted for the vendor.
