Covalt launches new Birmingham flex space

Work space company Covalt has launched its revamped flexible offices in Victoria Square, following a six-figure makeover for the building.

Covalt’s letting of three floors at the landmark 92,000 sq ft office building at 1 Victoria Square was the largest office letting deal in the first half of 2025, with more than 350 desk spaces now available at the renamed Victoria Square WorkRooms following the building work.

Refurbishment work on the building was completed in late December, comprising a scheme of cosmetic works and infrastructure upgrades, with Covalt’s presence in the building spanning 27,000 sq ft.

Revamped private offices, co-working spaces, meeting rooms and a dedicated concierge team are all part of Covalt’s effort to enhance visitor experiences, according to chief executive Calum Russell.

“Victoria Square WorkRooms is in a fantastic location and combined with our range of services will offer something different to a new generation of occupiers looking for a more customer-focused office experience,” he said.

The Covalt team includes centre manager, Kay Waters and community lead Paynton Carter, who will be working together to develop a curated programme of business and social community events to bring the space to life, the firm says.

“Our mission is to make this one the best places to work in Birmingham, so we can’t wait to start welcoming our new tenants and building the kind of community vibe such a brilliant location like this deserves,” said Waters.
