Law firm TLT relocates to Paradise
National law firm TLT’s 50-strong Birmingham office will relocate to a new base at One Centenary Way next year.
TLT will take up 13,820 sq ft on the sixth floor of the building, part of Birmingham’s £1.2bn Paradise regeneration scheme which is being developed by MEPC, the specialist development arm of Federated Hermes.
The announcement comes on the back of TLT’s recent record annual revenue increase to £187m across its seven UK locations and also follows a series of other successful lettings for the 280,000 sq ft, thirteen-storey building, which is now almost fully let.
Mark Elder, TLT partner and head of location in Birmingham, said: “Our growth in Birmingham has been unprecedented, and this move is the natural next step in our journey to meet increasing demand and deliver on our strategic ambitions. We remain committed to Birmingham and to our responsibilities towards our people, place and planet, and constantly look to lower our carbon footprint with the aim of achieving net zero offices powered with 100% renewable electricity.
“We’re joining one of the greenest commercial buildings in this thriving city, where innovative design complements an unbeatable location with great amenities and transport links, for a top tier client and colleague experience.”
One Centenary Way’s has already attracted several high-profile tenants, including Arup, the employee-owned built environment consultancy, global finance group Goldman Sachs, real estate company JLL and wealth management firm Quilter Cheviot.
The 17-acre Paradise regeneration, still in progress, is on course to deliver eight new flagship buildings on the site of the former Birmingham Central Library in the city centre, including the 509 ft tall Octagon building, the world’s first pure octagonal residential tower.
“TLT is another hugely welcome addition to One Centenary Way which is already positioned as one of the foremost professional services buildings in the city,” added Ross Fittall, commercial development director at MEPC.
“The firm’s future thinking approach and commitment to its values have been key to its success, driving innovation, inclusivity, diversity, and wellbeing and mirrors our approach to building the Paradise community. With the commitment of occupiers like TLT, we know Paradise has an exciting future.”
