Two in as Rappor adds to leadership team

Engineering and environmental consultancy Rappor has made two appointments to its newly formed executive board.

Matt Hilton joins as chief operating officer and Mike Yiannis will become chief finance officer, part of a leadership shake-up at the South Midlands firm which saw founder, Adam Padmore, take up a role as chief executive last month.

Hilton has more than three decades of proven success in the built environment. This includes a standout tenure as managing director, and executive board director, at Hydrock during a period of significant and sustained growth, which ended with Stantec acquiring the firm in 2024.

Alongside his new role with Rappor, he will also maintain his ongoing non-executive director role at Coreus Group.

Yiannis joins the board with a background as a corporate finance adviser, NED, and most recently as chief financial officer at Hydrock, now Stantec. During his time there, he led the firm’s BGF investment and providing the financial roadmap for the following period of rapid, successful organic growth, M&A and the eventual sale.

The pair previously worked together at global consulting firm, Stantec.

“Our vision is built on setting Rappor apart through our approach to people and partnership. That’s as true today as it was when I founded the business a decade ago,” said chief executive, Adam Padmore.

“Fast forward to now announcing Matt and Mike to our newly founded Executive Board really does reflect our direction of travel and the emphasis we place on having the right people, the best people, guiding where we’re going and how we’re going to get there.

“Importantly, Matt and Mike have navigated very similar waters before at a peer firm that, in ways, has inspired the culture we’ve created at Rappor. This means they’ve already experienced the specific challenges and opportunities in front of us, or which we’re very likely to face in future, and have a proven playbook to move beyond them successfully.”
