Lichfield retail park hits the market for more than £10m

A 45,000 sq ft Staffordshire commercial park has been put up for sale, with owners Swiss Life seeking offers over £10.4m for the freehold to the site.

Lichfield Retail Park was built in 2010, replacing a former council depot on Vulcan Road to the north-east of the city centre.

Tenants at the fully-let 2.7-acre park’s five units include tenants Wickes, Halfords and Pets at Home, with the site currently generating in excess of £800,000 per year in rental value – according to a listing by London-based commercial property firm Park Place Retail.

Other tenants include bathroom company Cubico and gym group ITM Fitness, while WeBuyAnyCar also operates a pod-based operation in the 148-space car park.

The property is the dominant retail park in the city of Lichfield and provides the only bulky goods scheme in the city, with neighbouring Imperial Retail Park and Waitrose making up the only out of town provision, described by agents as a “very small amount for a city of this size and catchment area”.

Further information is available from Park Place Retail via their online listing for Lichfield Retail Park.
