M7 Real Estate offloads former Vertex building
The North England Conference of the Seventh-day Adventists will relocate its headquarters to Sherwood Park, north of Nottingham, later this year after buying the 22,335 sq ft office.
NG Chartered Surveyors, working jointly with FHP Property Consultants, completed the sale of the former Vertex base, within Evo Business Park at Sherwood Park. The value of the deal is undisclosed.
The fully fitted detached office building provides immediate access to Junction 27 of the M1 and offers 130 car parking spaces. The property underwent substantial refurbishment prior to sale to be ready for immediate occupation.
The North England Conference of the Seventh-day Adventists serves a network of churches, schools, and community initiatives across the North of England. It said the move will provide a modern, accessible base for its growing operations.
Michael Agyei-Asare, chief financial officer of the North England Conference of the Seventh-day Adventists, said: “Our current office space no longer meets our needs, and we have been looking for a new home that reflects both our growth and our mission.
“Vertex offers a modern and accessible setting that will become our new headquarters – housing our administrative offices, leadership and volunteer training, and a range of programmes designed to support both church and community needs.
“The move to Sherwood Park will allow us to bring our teams together under one roof, strengthen collaboration, and expand our capacity to deliver high-quality programmes in areas such as youth development, family support, and health and wellbeing. We are excited about the opportunities this new home will create, enabling us to serve our members and communities more effectively in the years ahead.”
Agyei-Asare also praised NG Chartered Surveyors for their role in completing the transaction, saying managing director Rochard Sutton’s “expertise helped steer this transition to a smooth and successful close”.
Sutton said: “Vertex is a superb building in an established business park location, offering excellent connectivity and high-quality accommodation. It’s fantastic to see such a well-respected organisation investing in Nottinghamshire and securing a property that will serve them for many years to come.”
Mark Tomlinson, director at FHP, said: “This latest sale at Evo Park marks the continued strategy of our client M7 Real Estate, to sell individual buildings within the wider scheme to owner-occupiers.
“Opportunities to acquire high-quality premises of this nature remain limited in the area and Vertex, which underwent a comprehensive multi-million-pound refurbishment by the previous tenant, offers some of the best quality office accommodation available in North Nottinghamshire.”
Evo Business Park forms part of the established Sherwood Business Park to the north of Nottingham, home to major occupiers including Pendragon, Highways England, Countrywide Surveyors and Zeppelin Systems.
