Northern Land snaps up 130-acre Nuneaton site
Northern Trust has acquired a 130-acre development plot at Bretts Hall Farm, with potential for more than 300 homes.
The Lancashire-based land promoter says it now intends to bring forward a masterplan for the site, which crosses the administrative boundaries of North Warwickshire Borough Council and Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council.
Part of the site has been allocated for residential development in North Warwickshire’s local plan, near to a neighbouring development of 57 homes put forward by Cartwright Homes in 2024, which is still awaiting a decision.
The value of the deal has not been disclosed.
“Bretts Hall Farm represents an excellent strategic opportunity in a highly sustainable location,” said David Jones, senior land manager at Northern Trust Land.
“The site benefits from an allocation within the adopted local plan and has the potential to deliver a high-quality residential scheme that will contribute towards meeting local housing needs across both North Warwickshire and Nuneaton and Bedworth.”
Land agents for the transaction were Merlin Land Planning and Development.
The joint selling agents were Savills and Sworders. Northern Trust Land Ltd was advised by Addleshaw Goddard, while HCR Law acted on behalf of the seller.
