Work continues at 3,000-home Northampton scheme
Persimmon Homes has started work on nearly 300 homes as part of the next phase of development at Dallington Grange in Northampton.
Plans for the latest phase of the scheme, a 3,000 home urban extension around two miles to the north-west of Northampton, were approved by West Northamptonshire Council in March this year.
Under the proposals, 295 homes will be built on a 22-acre plot near Harlington Firs forest. A total of 153 homes will be built by Persimmon Homes, and a further 122 under the firm’s premium Charles Church brand.
Outline permission for the wider development was granted in 2021, which will eventually see 3,000 homes built along with a new primary and secondary school, parks, shops and community facilities, on former farmland near the A428 Harleston Road.
More than 600 homes have been built under the first phase of the scheme, which was given the go-ahead in 2023.
“We are delighted to have begun construction on the next phase of Dallington Grange, marking another key milestone in the creation of this new community,” said Claire Dearsley, Sales Director at Persimmon Homes Midlands.
“This phase will deliver a range of much-needed homes for local people and forms an important part of the wider Dallington Grange development. We look forward to seeing this next phase take shape and continuing our role in supporting a vibrant, sustainable future for the local community.”
