Industrial units plan for former Manders site

Plans to build three industrial units at a historic former Wolverhampton paint works have been submitted to the city council by a scrap metal firm this week.

Under proposals put forward this week by city metal recycling company MetCat, around 25,000 sq ft of industrial space would be built at the now demolished former Manders paint and ink manufacturing site in Heath Town – now known as Manders Industrial Estate.

If approved, three metal-framed units would be built at the site, each measuring 20m in width by 40m in length.

A total of 25 car parking spaces are planned as part of the proposals at the site, which was home to a munitions factory prior to becoming a paint works in 1927.

Documents and plans relating to the application can be found on the Wolverhampton City Council planning portal using reference: 26/00122/FUL
