Greater Lincolnshire says it’s on the brink of a defining moment as it heads to a major property summit with more than 80 “shovel ready” opportunities for investors this week.

Representatives from the Greater Lincolnshire Combined County Authority (GLCCA), alongside inward investment teams from other  Lincolnshire authorities, will showcase a portfolio of strategic development opportunities – with the launch of two new flagship documents.

The Greater Lincolnshire Housing Pipeline and Investment Prospectus and Site Catalogue will highlight 42 shovel-ready development opportunities across the region, from Immingham down to Spalding and from Gainsborough across to Boston.

Meanwhile, the Greater Lincolnshire Housing Strategy features 20 deliverable residential sites planned over the next five to 10 years, while the Investment Prospectus and Site Catalogue presents 22 investment-ready commercial and mixed-use opportunities.

The GLCCA says those schemes add up to more than £4bn of investment schemes in some on the country’s most important sectors, including agriculture, advanced manufacturing, logistics and defence.

Mayor of Greater Lincolnshire, Dame Andrea Jenkyns, said the region would set out a “statement of intent” for investors at UKREiiF in Leeds this week.

“This year’s UKREiiF is a defining moment for Greater Lincolnshire. For the first time in our history, we have a full, powerhouse investment prospectus ready for the world to see.

“With our new advanced manufacturing zone and a massive housing pipeline, we are presenting a portfolio of spade-ready, high-value opportunities. We are one team, we are standing tall, and we are ready to outpace the competition. Greater Lincolnshire is open for business, let’s get to work.”

Leader of Lincolnshire County Council, Cllr Sean Matthews, added: “Our region offers investors genuine scale and opportunity, from Food Enterprise Zones and innovation parks to advanced manufacturing, clean energy and major housing growth. #

“By unlocking these opportunities, we are building a pipeline of transformational projects that will strengthen our economy, create jobs and support communities across Greater Lincolnshire. UKREiiF provides the perfect platform to showcase what our region has to offer.”
