Keepmoat strengthens Birmingham team with senior hires

Housebuilder Keepmoat has announced two promotions within its West Midlands regional business as it continues to expand its presence across the region.

Martyn Grimes has been promoted from head of land and partnerships to director of land and partnerships, while Emma Urie has stepped up from head of sales to sales director.

Based at Keepmoat’s Birmingham office, Grimes joined the business in 2024 and will now lead the company’s land acquisition and partnership strategy across the West Midlands. His responsibilities include identifying development opportunities, strengthening relationships with public and private sector partners and supporting the region’s continued growth.

Among the projects he has recently led are partnerships with Walsall and Smethwick councils on the Locksmith Quarter demolition works and the Friar Park regeneration scheme. The projects are expected to deliver more than 600 homes on former brownfield sites.

“I’m incredibly proud to have been promoted to director of land and partnerships. It’s been a privilege to work with such a driven and supportive team and together we’ve achieved some fantastic results already,” he said.

“I’m excited about the opportunities ahead and look forward to continuing to grow our partnerships, delivering on our ambitious goals for the region.”

Urie takes on her new role after two-and-a-half years as head of sales and will be responsible for leading sales activity across a number of developments, including Mill Place in Upper Tean, Stallings Place in Kingswinford and Sketchley Meadows in Nuneaton.

She will also help shape the sales strategy for future developments brought forward by the land and partnerships team and will work alongside the wider regional leadership team to align sales delivery with Keepmoat’s long-term growth plans in the West Midlands.
