Sara Thomas joins Place to support growth

Place Media Group has hired Sara Thomas from Property Week as commercial partnerships director to strengthen Place’s expanded events and marketing portfolio.

Sara Thomas, who spent 14 years at Property Week working across the UK, said: “Place sits at the centre of the conversations that drive regional development. I’m looking forward to working with partners in a more direct and meaningful way, helping them engage with the markets, people, and opportunities that are shaping growth across the regions.

“Place has built a strong network across development, planning and regeneration, and continues to play a central role in connecting the people and projects shaping regional growth.”

Established as a single publication for the North West in 2007, the expanded Place Media Group now has an audience of 400,000 monthly readers across four titles covering Midlands, North East, Yorkshire, and North West.

In her new role, Thomas will create commercial partnerships across all regions, working closely with clients and stakeholders to support the growth of Place’s online products, video, and events.

The appointment comes at a significant time for regional markets, with increasing investment and a growing focus on regeneration and placemaking across the UK.

Thomas will work alongside Sean O’Connor, commercial partnerships director, in the commercial team with Moutsopoulos.

Place Media Group employs 15 people across news, events, multimedia, finance, and management.
