Savills appointed to Upper Gough Street scheme

Savills has been appointed by Elevate Property Group to lead sales of the remaining homes at Chapmans Yard, a completed seven-storey residential development in Birmingham city centre.

Around 75% of the 111-home Upper Gough Street scheme has already been sold off-plan, with Savills now instructed to bring the final 20 units to market, now building work has been completed.

Proposals for the £11m Chapmans Yard scheme, built on a former car park in Upper Gough Street, were originally put forward in early 2022, and approved by Birmingham City Council later that year.

The scheme comprises a mix of luxury one and two bed apartments designed to appeal to a wide range of buyers, including first-time purchasers, professionals and investors, according to Joe Shorney, director and head of residential development sales at Savills in the Midlands.

“Chapmans Yard is a standout development in Birmingham city centre, and the level of early interest demonstrates the strength of both the product and its location,” he said.

“With the scheme now complete, we are excited to bring the final homes to market and provide buyers with the opportunity to purchase a finished apartment ready for occupation.”
