Smart appointment as KWB strengthens Midlands team
KWB has strengthened its property management team, bringing in Kezia Smart as associate director.
Smart joins the Birmingham-based consultancy from BNP Parabas, where she spent almost a decade progressing from property administrator to associate director after qualifying as a surveyor.
In her new role at KWB, Smart will oversee the management of a number of mixed-use properties across the Midlands, including the Colman Consolidated Portfolio.
“People are what bring a building to life, whether that’s the client, tenants or other stakeholders, and it’s great to have joined a team where relationships come first,” she said.
“The industry knowledge within the KWB team is second-to-none and I’m excited to be part of such a well-regarded, independent consultancy that is truly passionate about Birmingham and the wider Midlands region.”
Smart is a well-known figure in Birmingham’s property sector, having served on the Midlands Women in Property Committee for the past five years, including as Chairwoman between 2025 and 2026. She also sits on the West Midlands RICS Regional Board, where she supports networking and member engagement initiatives, with a focus on supporting female surveyors.
KWB’s Head of Property Management, Sam Lawrence, who also joined KWB from BNP Paribas Real Estate last year, added: “I’m delighted to once again have Kezia within the team. She’s hugely respected across the city and will be a real asset to KWB as we look to expand our property management portfolio over the coming years.”
KWB has also appointed Alex Chambers as Head of Credit Control. Chambers joins the business from Savills, where he worked for two years.
