Tritax Big Box strengthens with planning hires

Tritax Big Box has bolstered its planning team in Northampton with two senior appointments.

Bernadette Owens and Will Riley have joined as associate planning directors, bolstering the firm’s in-house capability to six planning specialists across two locations in Northampton and Manchester.

Owens brings planning experience from both the public and private sectors including Tingdene Group, Cherwell District Council, Helix Management Solutions and South Northamptonshire Council.

Riley joins from David Lock Associates, where he has worked for the last 12 years ,and has also spent time at Philips Planning Services Ltd, South Bedfordshire District Council, and The Planning Inspectorate.

Rounding out a trio of appointments, David Messenger has taken on the role of associate development director and will be based in the Manchester office. David joins TBBD from CBRE where he spent almost four years.

Jonathan Wallis, managing director at Tritax Big Box Developments, said the new hires would bring significant expertise from working across the public and private sectors.

“Their appointments strengthen our team and enhance our capacity to progress a growing number of sites through the planning and development process,” he said.
