Lovell strengthens for West Midlands partnership push
House-builder Lovell has appointed Chantel Cresswell as the firm’s head of partnerships, as the firm looks to boost public sector and joint venture tie-ups.
A former senior manager with Homes England, Cresswell’s appointment marks a second stint with the company, having previously worked in the partnerships division as recently as 2022.
Her return to Lovell brings more than a decade of experience across both open market and partnership housing, with demand is growing for joint venture housing developments, the company says.
She will be based out of the firm’s Midlands office in Harbourne.
“This feels like the right time to return to the partnerships market, with the new 10-year Social and Affordable Homes Programme (SAHP) getting underway and strong demand driving the need for rapid delivery,” she said.
“It’s an exciting time to be back at Lovell and to support the business through this next phase. While Lovell operates nationally, its decentralised philosophy empowers regional teams and fosters strong, focused local relationships, enabling a deep understanding of regional needs and nuances and helping to build long-term, trusted partnerships.”
Across the West Midlands, Cresswell will focus on strengthening long-standing partnerships and developing new ones with registered providers, local authorities and housing associations.
Stuart Penn, regional managing director at Lovell, said: “Chantel’s experience gives her a deep understanding of the partnerships sector and how to support delivery on the ground, making her a true asset to the team.
“There are lots of opportunities ahead, especially with SAHP and devolution in the region, she will play a key role in ensuring partners are fully supported, paving the way for successful regional development.”
