CCL appointed at 331-home Bicycle Works

CCL Facades, part of the Caddick Construction Group, has been appointed to ECF’s landmark mixed-use Bicycle Works development in Wolverhampton.

The firm will take on the design, supply and installation of all doors, 400 sq m of curtain walling, and 2,900 sq m of windows across three six-storey apartment buildings.

Caddick Construction are the main contractors on the 331-home project, set to form the first phase of the Smithgate scheme in central Wolverhampton, a 1,000 home mixed-use development off Market Square which also includes 70,000 square feet of retail, leisure and commercial space.

CCL Facades, who are also working on Cole Waterhouse’s flagship Birmingham regeneration project at Upper Trinity Street in Digbeth, will start on site in October.

“This major development allows us to showcase our specialist technical capabilities on a significant scale, and the team are looking forward to working closely with its specialist supply chain to deliver the high-quality, sustainable facade solutions that this landmark development requires,” said Paul Dodsworth, group managing director at Caddick Construction Group.

“Our collaborative approach will be further enhanced as we work together as main contractor and specialist contractor across the Caddick Group. Working together in this integrated manner, we will drive site efficiency, elevate quality assurance, and leverage our shared expertise to create exceptional, modern housing for the city of Wolverhampton and the wider Smithgate regeneration scheme.”
