Curtins appoints Birmingham office director
The engineering consultancy has chosen Andy Godber to head up its well established office in the city centre.
As a chartered civil and structural engineer with more than 25 years of experience in Birmingham, Godber brings a wealth of experience and expertise across both the public and private sectors to the role.
Now in post, Godber most recently worked for SBK Consulting, and was previously at CWA Consulting. Prior to this, he spent more than 10 years with Arup.
Curtins said that he will focus on the growth and development of Curtins’ Birmingham team, while working collaboratively with the regional and national teams using his client-focused approach and extensive project experience to build on Curtins’ 30+ years legacy in Birmingham.
Over that time, Curtins has worked on the delivery of a range of key Birmingham projects, including Fort Dunlop, The Mailbox, Snowhill and Brindley Place through to recent projects such as Exchange Square, Stone Yard, Smallbrook Queensway and the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital.

Curtins has a national team of more than 300 civil, structural, transport and geo-environmental engineers and planners. Godber joins the business as it celebrates 65 years. The firm also counts a Nottingham base among its roster of 14 office locations.
