Marq Logistics ties-up deal for Magna Park warehouse

Logistics firm Bleckmann has signed a lease arrangement for a major unit in North Lutterworth, which it says is part of an ongoing expansion effort.

The fashion and lifestyle supply-chain specialist has agreed a lease with Marq Logistics for MPN 761, a 761,361 sq ft warehouse at the Magna Park Leicestershire industrial park which was completed in June last year.

The deal marks Bleckmann’s fourth building in the UK with the developer, and represents a significant letting at one of the country’s largest logistics hubs.

“Securing Bleckmann for MPN 761 is an important milestone for Marq Logistics and a strong endorsement of Magna Park North Lutterworth as a leading location for large-scale logistics operations in the UK,” said Bruce Topley, UK managing director for Marq Logistics.

“This transaction reflects sustained occupier demand for high-quality, sustainable buildings in strategic locations that can help customers improve efficiency, support growth and serve their end markets more effectively. We are very pleased to deepen our relationship with Bleckmann as this is its fourth building in the UK with Marq Logistics.”

The building has been designed for modern, high-volume logistics operations, with 80 dock doors, 10 level access doors, nearly 100 HGV spaces and more than 500 car parking spaces. EV charging infrastructure is also included.

Bleckmann said the new facility will support its continued UK expansion, as demand grows from both online-first brands and established international retailers for integrated logistics services spanning fulfilment, returns and transport.

Mark van Onna, global real estate director Bleckmann added: “By securing the MPN761 building we have further added a strategic, large volume building to our Bleckmann portfolio.

“This new facility with Breeam Outstanding and EPC A+ levels marks another milestone in our ongoing sustainable expansion of the UK network servicing global customers. Based upon the mutual experience of both Bleckmann and Marq in previous transactions we were able to apply creativity and trust when transferring a challenging timeline into a mutual advantage.”
