Persimmon adds Warwickshire-based Lone Star
Housebuilder Persimmon has acquired Warwickshire land promotion company Lone Star Land in an undisclosed value-deal.
The Yorkshire-based builder says the deal will enhance its strategic land function, adding additional industry-leading expertise and relationships to the business.
Persimmon will retain all staff at Lone Star, which will continue to operate as a land promotion business led by managing director Richard Burke, with a focus on securing medium to large strategic sites and expanding the pipeline in attractive locations.
“This investment strengthens Persimmon’s strategic land platform and supports our broader growth ambitions,” said Liam Scott, deputy UK managing director of Persimmon.
“By combining Lone Star’s expertise with our own, we can unlock new land opportunities, creating long-term value for our partners, stakeholders and communities.
“And importantly, by retaining Lone Star’s experienced team we’re ensuring continuity and enhancing our ability to deliver on Persimmon’s growth plans.”
Based in Henley-in-Arden, Lone Star describes itself as a specialist planning promotion company with a proven track record in securing and promoting strategic land opportunities.
The firm’s recent projects include housing developments in Madeley, near Newcastle-under-Lyme, and Wychavon.
Richard Burke, managing director of Lone Star, added: “This partnership provides the opportunity to leverage Persimmon’s scale and expertise, building on our existing long-standing relationships.
“I look forward to working with colleagues and customers alike to identify and accelerate both existing and new opportunities in the years ahead.”
