Plans in for 131-home scheme in Hucknall
Sheffield-based house builder Honey has submitted revised plans for a residential scheme to Gedling council, after cross-boundary access arrangements were finally approved.
A total of 131 homes have been earmarked for 12 acres of Nottinghamshire farmland off Dorothy Avenue in the north-west of Hucknall, a variation of plans initially given the thumbs up by Gedling’s planning officers in October 2023.
A protracted application over access to the site, which will be via two roads in neighbouring Ashfield Council territory, has now been resolved – with a separate application approved by councillors in Ashfield last week.
Now, amended plans submitted by Honey will once again go before councillors in Gedling, with the house builder targeting an autumn start date, should their proposals get the thumbs up.
The updated plans include a “minor amendment” to the approved scheme, with five five-bedroom houses included in the revised proposals. The number of affordable homes remains the same at 40.

“Exchanging contracts on this site and submitting plans for our Jasmine development is a fantastic step forward as we look to further grow our footprint across Nottinghamshire and the East Midlands.”
The project team includes Fisher German, STEN Architecture, Eastwood Consulting Engineers, and Brindle & Green.
