Wells McFarlane confirms new finance head

Leicestershire commercial property consultancy Wells McFarlane has appointed Abi Bradley to its board of directors, promoting her to the role of finance director.

Bradley, who has led the Lutterworth-based firm’s accounts team for the past six years, will continue to oversee the company’s entire accounts function. She became a fully qualified chartered accountant in 2020 and is a member of the ACCA.

In her new role, she will join the existing board in setting strategy and long-term objectives for the business, which marked its 21st anniversary last year.

“Day to day, this promotion means I will have a more meaningful input into how the business operates from a financial point of view and I’ll be looking at where we can make improvements and efficiencies companywide,” she said.

“In the longer term, I’d like to work towards an ISO accreditation for both quality and environmental management; to reflect the high standards and competencies we already have in place. I’m also looking to move to a cloud-based version of our property management software to accelerate our transition to a paperless office.”

Managing Director Andrew McFarlane Holt added: “Abi is a leading voice for the next generation as well as a popular and respected member of the team.

“Her contribution to Wells McFarlane’s success has been significant; she is well-known and highly regarded by our clients, so we felt the time was right to recognise her impact with this promotion. Abi will bring fresh insight and ideas to our board and we look forward to seeing her continue to thrive in this new role.”
